Sam Smith To Perform At The 2014 VMAs

Everyone’s new favorite artist, Sam Smith, will be making his award show performance debut during the 2014 “MTV Video Music Awards” this Sunday. Smith will be joining this star studded night that includes appearances by Demi Lovato, Lorde, Jason Derulo, and many others. He will also be sharing the stage with this year’s hottest performers including, Usher, Ariana Grande, 5 Seconds of Summer, Maroon 5, Iggy Azalea, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift. Dropping beats for the house between awards and performances will be the mega-producer and artist DJ Mustard. 

Sam Smith has recently held the MTV title of “Artist to Watch.” His unique sound has captured America’s hearts with tracks like “Stay With Me” and “Leave Your Lover.” His collaboration on a Disclosure track, “Latch,” has had the world dancing. Smith had this to say about his upcoming award show performance, “I have watched the VMAs every year since I was a kid. I am so insanely nervous but also so honored to be performing. This truly is a pinch yourself moment for me.”
